Scott Parrish

Lead Pastor

Scott was born and raised in and around Dalton, Georgia.  In 1979 he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior.  Scott immediately had a hunger to know more about Christ and to see others grow in Him. While serving in various leadership position in several churches, Scott developed the heart of a pastor and began preaching as opportunities presented themselves.  Soon, Scott began preparing himself for ministry through classes with New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, the Southern Baptist Seminary Extension Program, and Tennessee Temple University.  Scott is the founding pastor of Emmaus, which began in 2007. Scott has been married 33 years to the love of his life, Tammy.  Tammy has been an active part of every ministry that Scott has served.  Scott and Tammy have two daughters.  Hannah is 25 and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree at Liberty University. Emily is 21 and is pursuing her Bachelors Degree at Liberty University. Scott’s life verse is Philippians 1:6, Being confident of this very thing, that He which has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” This is the foundation and the passion of His life’s work; to see believers conformed to the image of Jesus.

Brett Allen and Jenni Allen

Youth Ministries 

Both from Michigan, Brett and Jenni married in 2009 after God gave them a second chance to find each other. They’re blessed with three beautiful kids: Colby, Rylynn, and Harper. Their passion is to reach youth with the life-changing message of Jesus, help them grow deeper in their walk with God, and equip them to share their faith with others. Brett has over 14 years of experience in youth ministry. Since 2010 they’ve served North GA and East TN as Local Church Missionaries with Word of Life.

Music Minister Mike Gardner

Mike serves as a part time Minister of Music.  Brother Mike is retired from the carpet industry and prior to that, worked in Christian education.  Mike is one of our charter members & serves in our Deacon Ministry.
